When will Oklahoma football equipment become OKC?

Oklahoma football fans are likely to get a much-needed boost in gear when the Sooners host the Sooner Football Foundation in Norman next month.

Oklahoma football head coach Mike Gundy said on Monday that players will receive the new gear that is supposed to go into the stadium during the game against the Florida Gators, the Associated Press reported.

“They will have the new Oklahoma football gear for their uniforms and helmets,” Gundy told reporters.

“And there will be the new OKC football gear in the stadium, because there are going to be a lot of fans who come to the game and we need that gear.”

The new equipment will be a standard assortment, including a new helmet and a new collar that will go with the uniform, Gundy added.

The football team’s new helmets, new collars and new collared shirts will be available for purchase during Oklahoma’s home opener against Texas Tech on Sept. 28.

The new gear will also be available at other Oklahoma schools, including Texas, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma football team has worn the new uniforms since the end of the 2013 season, when they began wearing a new look.

The uniforms also are now available online.
