They also suffered a shock 34-13 defeat to the Panthers, while they lost 24-21 to the Roosters.
Their win against the Rooster was their only win of the round.
After their dismal performance in Canberra, coach Brad Arthur said the Cowboys were “in the midst of a transformation”.
“We’re getting some fresh blood into the team and I think that’s a good thing for the team,” he said.
“I think we’ve been a bit lucky with injuries this year, particularly in the forward half of the line, but we’re looking forward to getting some new faces in the squad and working with the guys to get us to where we want to be.”
The Cowboys’ coach said he had not spoken to the players about playing against the Bulldogs, but they would play “a tough game” against the Panthers.
“We’ve got a pretty good group of players, the guys we have got in the back, we’re confident in our ability to beat them,” Arthur said.
